What is a HUD Home? HUD is a department
of the federal government.

Housing and Urban Development.
When FHA mortages are foreclosed and the homes are resold, they are called HUD
Homes.
Is that like a bank-owned home?
Yes, but different. Instead of a bank
owning it, it's a division of the government that owns it. Bank
owned homes come in all price ranges. HUD homes in general are inexpensive
homes. A common price range is under $200,000. They are
seldom priced over $300,000. HUD homes are EASY to
finance. They are ideal for owner occupants, especially first time
homebuyers, although many investors buy them, too.
Do I have to pay cash? No. Unlike bank
owned homes, HUD wants youto finance your home with an FHA Loan.
But it gets even better!

low loan balance? If you can answer "yes" to all of these questions,
then the FHA Reverse Mortgage might be right for you. It lets you convert a
portion of your equity into cash.

Yes, FHA has financing for mobile homes and factory-built housing. We have two
